Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Friday took a dig at the BJP government at the Centre, over the results of the UK elections. As the winning party in the United Kingdom, Labour, surged to a landslide victory with 412 seats, Tharoor, in an X post, said finally some party has won more than 400 seats.
"Finally 'ab ki baar 400 paar' happened — but in another country!" (sic), Tharoor wrote in an X post.

In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) secured 293 seats – above the 272-mark needed to form a government, while the Opposition coalition, the INDIA bloc, secured 232 seats. During the election campaigns, the BJP had claimed to win more than 400 seats in the general elections.
