Following in the footsteps of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja has announced his retirement from T20 Internationals, capping his career with a triumphant win at the T20 World Cup 2024.
“With a heart full of gratitude, I bid farewell to T20 Internationals. Like a steadfast horse galloping with pride, I’ve always given my best for my country and will continue to do so in other formats,” Jadeja shared on Instagram.
"Winning the T20 World Cup was a dream come true, a pinnacle of my T20 International career. Thank you for the memories, the cheers, and the unwavering support."
Jadeja debuted in T20 Internationals in 2009, representing India in 74 matches where he took 54 wickets and scored 515 runs. He was a crucial player in six T20 World Cup campaigns, achieving ultimate success in his final tournament, bringing home the men's T20 World Cup trophy after 17 years.
Despite retiring from T20Is, Jadeja assured fans that he will continue to play for India in other formats, contributing his skills and experience to the team’s success in Test and ODI cricket.
